PHome Tech Help in Fredericton

Less household admin. Safer family data. Technology that works quietly at home.

You should not need to be an IT engineer to keep your family's photos backed up, your parents safe from phone scams, your Wi-Fi working in the basement and your home cameras free of a monthly bill.

A daughter helping her mother with a tablet in a cosy living room

Alongside our business work we run a line of practical home technology services: a fixed price for a finished result, plain language, a one-page cheat sheet you can actually read, and everything registered in your name. Hardware is always separate, at store prices. We come to your home in Fredericton and the surrounding area; the rest of New Brunswick and Canada we serve remotely.

Fixed-price packages

Every package has a fixed scope and a fixed price, quoted in writing before we start. Prices exclude HST and hardware; hardware is always at store prices. Ask for the current package sheet and we will send it the same day.

Parents online and safe (Senior Safe Start)

Two hours at their home or by remote session: software updates, a password manager, two-step sign-in on email and banking, a spam-call filter, larger text, a printed cheat sheet and a plain-language talk about the scams that actually target seniors in Canada. Includes 30 days of phone support.

Tech Concierge subscription

For adult children who live far from their parents, or for anyone who wants one number to call. One home visit a month plus unlimited calls and remote help. We know the devices, so nothing has to be explained twice.

Help after a hack or a lost phone

Recover your Apple or Google account, re-issue two-step codes, replace passwords in the right order, check bank and CRA accounts, freeze credit if needed, and file the report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Nobody sells this as a product. We do.

Backup and digital legacy (Digital Legacy Kit)

A family password manager with emergency access, Apple Legacy Contact and Google Inactive Account Manager set up, an inventory of accounts and subscriptions, a sealed envelope for your executor, and a backup of the documents that matter.

Wi-Fi without dead zones

Coverage survey, mesh or access points placed where they belong, a separate network for smart devices and guests, parental controls and ad filtering at the router, and a page that says what is where.

Cameras without a subscription

Two to four cameras or a doorbell recording to a box in your home instead of a cloud you pay for every month. Alerts to your phone, secure remote viewing, off-site backup of the clips you want to keep.

A smart home that works even when the internet doesn’t

A small hub in your home, five to ten devices, five automations (leak alert, “away”, “night”, lights, heating schedule), a dashboard for the family, backups and secure remote access. Works when the internet does not. Licensed electrical work is always done by a certified electrician.

Family photo archive, out of Google Photos

A small photo box at home: every phone in the family uploads automatically, you can search by face and place, share albums, and there is always a second copy off-site plus a yearly check-up. Your 15 years of photos stop depending on a monthly plan. Optional care plan: we watch the backups and apply updates for a small monthly fee.

One-evening office for a freelancer

Your own domain and email on it, a one-page website, online booking, invoices with automatic reminders, and a backup. Everything in your name, nothing per-seat.

Digital start in Canada (in Ukrainian or English)

Two hours for a newcomer or a family: Canadian phone number or eSIM, banking app and Interac, CRA My Account, MyNB, Canada Post, a password manager and a frank talk about the scams aimed at newcomers. Includes 30 days of follow-up questions.

Paperless home

A scanner or your phone, a document system with text recognition, folders for taxes, insurance and medical, and a backup. Find any receipt or policy in seconds by typing a word.

Household finances without manual entry

Open-source budgeting on your own machine, bank statements imported from PDF or CSV, category rules, receipts from a photo. Canadian banks do not offer open connections, so this is a pilot package: we tell you up front what works with your bank.

“Just Moved In” — new homeowner smart tech reset & lock/camera audit

Moving into a house with smart locks, doorbells, cameras, thermostats or garage openers left by the previous owner or tenant? We factory-reset and re-key every device so old accounts retain zero access, reconnect everything to your new Wi-Fi, and hand you a one-page map of your home tech.

Household subscription & renewal tracker

We help you inventory forgotten recurring charges across Apple, Google, Amazon, streaming and cloud accounts—and set up a shared family renewal calendar for home insurance, vehicle registration, property taxes and annual bills (without ever touching your bank passwords).

Kids & teens safe device and screen-time setup

Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link configured properly, a filter on the home router that blocks adult and phishing sites, and safe defaults on gaming consoles—set up so kids cannot bypass them in five minutes.

Care Plan for the things that keep running

A photo server, a camera box or a smart-home hub is only a good idea if someone looks after it. For H6, H7 and H8 we recommend a Care Plan: monthly health check, updates, backup verification and priority support. A flat monthly fee, quoted with the package. Cancel any time; everything keeps working, it just stops being watched.

Simple, respectful boundaries

  • Your accounts, your keys. Everything is registered in your name. We never know or store your master password. You never depend on us to open your own photos.
  • One-time setup first. Most packages are a finished job with a cheat sheet, not a subscription. Subscriptions are optional and say what they are for.
  • Plain language. You do not need to know how servers work. Tell us what frustrates you at home.
  • What we do not do: TV mounting, hardware repair, “de-Google everything” for the whole family, or private AI for a household. We will point you to someone who does.

Where we work

Home visits in Fredericton, Oromocto, New Maryland and nearby. Remote sessions across New Brunswick and Canada. We speak English and Ukrainian.
